THE AMP - ART & MEDITATION PROJECT
The artwork of the Museo Borgogna in Vercelli is seen through the visitors' eyes: 3 choices, 3 ways of perception that let us reclaim a meditative relationship with Art. The project draws the artwork and its public close: the viewer becomes an observer and an object of observation at the same time, he/she is listened to and perceived as a piece of art composed of feelings and thoughts, as a key piece of the artistic communication. Through an informal and straightforward approach, as opposed to one that is scientific or academic, The Amp creates a space to collect people’s thoughts and emotions about art and museums or exhibition spaces. Museum-goers and art fans are invited to observe a work of art while meditating about it and about themselves in relation to the artwork; this establishes a playful, free-association process between what we see and what we feel.
